I can’t remember a time I wasn’t interested in design. As a kid I was fascinated with the way things worked, and that fascination often meant taking things apart just to peek under the hood and feed my curiosity. I took every destructive endeavor as a learning experience.
I’ve taken many turns in my life of design, from Web Development, to Graphic Design, building Retail Fixtures and Displays, and even starting a company to design and fabricate Home Furnishings.
When I discovered User Experience Design, I quickly thought about my experiences as a tinkerer, maker and designer. I realized UX was a big part of what I was missing, My new curiosity is people; knowing what we really want, why we do the things we do and how we solve our problems.
